KUMKUM BHAGYA: How is Abhi actually planning to keep Pragya close when being ready to be a father Tanu's baby?

Given the illogical component ruling the roost in the show, we definitely cannot give logical answers about what Abhi can find as a solution. Although no doubt, Abhi has the most lucid mind in the show. When he sees, he sees the situation 360 degrees. That's the charm of his character. The detriment in his character is when he does not want to see with his eyes, as his love for his loved ones makes him want to trust them and do anything for them.

Abhi at present is not seeing. He is not seeing because, he got misproven about him not being the baby's daddy. And before he can fight that situation, he has fallen in love with Pragya for the illogical sacrifices she makes. It might have been a teary situation for him or Pragya, but it magnetically pulls him closer to the pain of being in love with no hope. What he sees is a love that does not demand anything for itself, but just thinks of others need and right thing to do. He is so blissfully happy in this emotional state, that he focused all of his time in trying to get Pragya accept his love for her and also allow him to love her in an acknowledged manner and not just as unclaimed love. At the cost of separation from Pragya, he is still able to claim affection and love from her. And likewise she is claiming for his sacrifice through his love for her. This is a win-win situation for him, although he keeps crying like a baby. 

So it is not for Abhi to call the shots as how he is going to be close to baby and Pragya. He left it on Pragya to manage that for him. His deal being "Anything for you Pragya". As long as she manages, she will always be close to him. That's his deal. Earlier he did try to get Pragya independent of him before he confessed his love to her, but she was so adamant in not getting remarried herself. So his new deal is perfect for him and Pragya. 

Now if we really want Abhi to return to present world, flying down all the way from the stars he has been to, then what we need is a situation, that puts Pragya/Fuggy in jeopardy. Then his senses are going to be awake and he will have to deal with the situation. And at that time all logic will prevail and Abhi will take the hard decisions that he can so easily make for benefit of all. He has much less meandering brain unlike Pragya.

Abhi's Dressing when confessing his love for Pragya - August 5th & 6th 2015

Abhi the rockstar has his own collection of T's. Awesome Collection it is. So very casual and comfy, yet so much of a statement present in each of the Ts he dons. Abhi the family guy has his kurtas and sherwanis for all family functions. Again..no doubt rising up to the occasion! However, what did he wear when he wanted to confess his love for Pragya?  A blue shirt. Sexy it was. Super sexy it was. But something not present in his wardrobe. Its totally different from what he wears regularly. 

I keep wondering why the change in his style statement?!!!  What made him go for a different avatar from his normal get up?

That he was not being the rockstar proposing to his love of his life?

That he was not being the family man proposing a family wala love or kumkum wala love to his wife?

If he did think in those lines of thoughts, then indeed, he was wearing his heart on his sleeve. Abhi minus the rockstar image was what he might have wanted to be seen as reaching across to a woman, who has been constantly denying love for the rockstar he was, the life that he derived from his rockstar circumstances. For Tanu was a happenstance of his rockstar life. Sure, by and by and in time, Pragya had fallen in love even with his rockstar persona. But it had also become a forbidden fruit with constant reminder in a pregnant Tanu.

Yet, minus all the practicality of the situation, I still wonder, how much of a thought he did apply towards the careful dressing to the occasion. After all he did present his love a saree and wondered what she thought about it. He even asked her if she liked it. I think it was not his day or his time to come forth about his efforts and his intelligence. It was just his time to be the most self-effacing and reaching out to the other, something he never does in his normal life. And that must have been a gigantic step for him.

I wonder, if Pragya noticed the shirt? if she noticed the change?  Notice or no notice, she definitely was swayed away from her practical but stupid thoughts for a brief time, when she was able to accept Abhi's love for her, and confess her love for him as well.

Like I said in my EP 102 review....

Tatter 3 Purab - He is clearheaded but tad too late. Marriage is not what you should have on your mind right now. Yet, he is the one, who is most clearheaded now. He is the one who wants to get married to Bulbul and end the farce right now. How beautiful !  And yet, he is the one who is going to get brickbats for speaking sanity. And dramatic farce of pain and misunderstanding would be dragged in self-centered emotions of rest of the people by refusing to do what he thinks should be done. In the end game, Purab is clearheaded but tad too bold and clear and unfit for the universe he is residing in. He tends to lose big, now that there is a queue of antagonists rallying behind him in the form of Aliya, Sarla and Daadi.

Purab in EP 103 & 104 shines the most. Everyone is expectedly against him. Bulbul, Pragya and Abhi

Bulbul thinking about her sister, Pragya thinking of her mother; lecturing and asking Purab to marry Aliya. While Purab makes his point lucidly, including him saying he has thought in a selfish manner, he makes it clear that he doesn't see anything to gain by marrying Aliya; when the very purpose of his marriage with Aliya is defeated. He was liberated of the ridiculous predicament he was being forced into by Bulbul in the name of love. But then Bulbul and Pragya who still imprisoned in their selfish reasoning behind the sticking on to the farcical clinging on to marriage with Abhi, keep pricking him that he has toppled their Apple Cart.

Abhi does not listen to him either and expectedly Abhi beats up Purab for having jilted his sister.

The Apple Cart Toppling Confrontation Drama goes on and we get small respites with Aliya placating down on Purab jilting her. One of her fixation is gone. Abhi and Aliya knowing the truth that Purab loves Bulbul and not Pragya. And Purab knowing that Abhi in anger is not going to listen to any logic, once again runs away from the Temple -LoversPoint place and this time, he forces Bulbul to come away with him.

New Drama develops causing confusion to us. Abhi's purpose to remain married to Pragya has ended regardless of Aliya being married to Purab or not. Yet he brought her home. I cannot understand why he brought her home. [Confused]

Things I enjoyed most

EP 103

Pragya to Purab [loudly]: Uska Haat Chod do !!! [RFOL] I started laughing hilariously.

EP 104

Abhi runs after Purab to catch him, but fails because Purab has driven away. [RFOL] Hilarious and so satisfying. Finally things happening to Abhi where he gets only defeat in his hands. Defeated Abhi. No matter how much he tries to prove himself as self-righteous, he ends only looking more ridiculous and criminal.

Pragya taunting all three accomplices; if the three plotters cannot be called cheaters for deceptively marrying someone to teach a lesson and trying to attain love forcefully by making forceful marriage. [So Satisfied] 

Alas! The Self-Righteous Abhi declares to Pragya that it was wrong of an Engaged Purab to fall in love with Bulbul, that it was wrong of Bulbul to love a man who was supposed to marry his sister. He is stuck on the Original Sin and he thinks he has every right to punish the three who sinned.

KUMKUM BHAGYA - EPISODE 102 - SEPTEMBER 3, 2014 -What matters when in tatters!

What matters when in tatters!

That was what the episode was about. Everyone brought out his or her heart on his/her sleeve. They opened their innermost thoughts to us. Insecurities and Wishful thinkings. People are making journeys, striving to put an end to something, be it driving, travelling or doing household chores.

Tatter 1 Aliya - She is officially insane. Wanting to get her gun and shoot Pragya straight in her face, a face with which Purab fell in love, wants to aim at her heart so that there is no heart left for Pragya to love Purab!  Wow!! Hatred and Insanity unleashed. She wants to kill Pragya now and later make Purab pay for what he did to her!

Tatter 2 Tanu - She is the new Medusa, Suddenly she has grown snakes in her head and is plotting heavily for her own benefit, she just wants to have Pragya kicked out of Abhi's life so that she gets married to Abhi.

Tatter 4 Bulbul - Officially she is lost in the ghetto of her sister now. All that is preoccupying her mind is her sister's marriage. Though her heart is chained to Purab, and the man keeps coming to her to take her away from the ghetto, she cannot due to chained consequences...oh! the pressures of being an Arora sister and daughter!!!

Tatter 5 Sarla -Never had any problem with her excited emotions. But today, seeing what has she reduced Pragya too, a wimper and that too selfish beyond forgiveness, I cannot forgive Sarla. Add to it, how even Bulbul is forced to think about her, makes me feel sad. This woman is making both of her daughters suffer. And that is not enough, she keeps calling, checking. How is even Pragya coping with her emotional toil to pull back herself into pretending and lying for her mother's sake. Yesterday EP; Sarla called Abhi's grandmother, in today's EP; in continuation, she is calling her daughter. Now she even wants to talk to her Son-in-law. One day this woman, when she gets to know the truth about her daughter's marriage, she is not going to see how many deaths her daughters, Abhi had to go through to keep up the lying pretences, to keep her happy; but she is going to find fault with everyone and curse or slap every one...probably Abhi the most, who by that time must have put her in deepest debt that she can ever pay off !!! 

A dramatic climax through Sarla's tension, has come to a point, where audience repels and rebounds her tension through wishing something really bad happening to end the trauma she is inflicting on her daughters; especially Pragya. And Sarla can only say, "I am tad too concerned like Beeji says! "

Tatter 6 Daadi - She absolutely loves her kids, but clearly she trusts Abhi in a very heartfelt manner, as if he is only her true family. So even if she has chosen a good girl for her kid Abhi, she is reposing faith in her grandson that he will take care of that girl. The point is not that she thinks good and means well. The point is not that Abhi notices all these things about his grandmother. Point is, today, in one of the tattered condition, we have seen the thread that holds the grandmother and grandson. They might not share everything with each other or the grandson may not speak truth with his grandmother, point is the thread that holds these two. They remain connected through heart. Period. And no one can challenge that. No one can also come between them.

A developing tatter condition. Not far into the future, Aliya and Tanu are going to target Daadi where this time, her faith about Pragya is actually going to be shaken. Pretty bad for her!  The repeated saying of hers, my heart says, there is no wrong done by Pragya, may not stand the test of time. Her wishful thinking, if Abhi and Pragya can somehow take care of each other and this family!

Tatter 7 Pragya - She started quite courageously to fetch back Purab, as she wants her name cleared. She can't forget Aliya's accusation, Abhi's lifting his hand to slap her in frustrated anger and his self-restraint in not hitting her, the brother and sisters's pain and accusation keeps coming back to her and she wishes all that to get back to normalcy as definitely then things would not explode on her pretentious world. Yet, she knows, her mother is going to end up knowing about all this one day. That reality cannot be put off further. Yet, yet; in that long drive to Lover's point to fetch Purab, to make everything right, all that she ends up seeing in flashback review is her short stint of marriage with Abhi and what it is like. Rollercoaster ride, what can she make of it. Filled with tease, having to see that he loves someone else and yet, his proximity and touch, intended or unintended; had indeed touched her, over and above the fact that, he does not care for her, though he does respect her mother which is certainly lesser to what he feels for his grandmother. She does feel something for her husband of hers. Wishful thinking, if she could have had the right to enjoy those situations.

Tatter 8 Abhi - Conflicted to the core. Its not Aliya, Tanu or Daadi induced. This time, he is conflicted about what he feels and what he is led to see and understand. All those flashbacks of his interaction with Pragya post marriage; how shy she is, how unassuming she is ! Nothing about Pragya that he has felt, is akin to her being a scheming woman as he has been led to believe by Aliya. There is sincerity and innocence in her eyes. And why does his heart always go back to remember that situation where the "Girl in White Dress", who he got to see across the road helping the two kids, who was so kind hearted, a soul whom he would have liked to bond with, but disappeared before he could even see or meet her. How he had compared then; between that "girl in white" who gave him immense pleasure, taking him out of the pain induced by thinking about Pragya and gold-digging stories about her he had to hear.  And today, his mind again takes him back to same memory. He is in deep agony and he remembers that "Girl in White", helping the kids, spreading her angelic care around her. Wishful thinking, Pragya can never be that "Girl in White", even if he sees conflicting evidences about who could be the real Pragya. Peace is what is missing with the woman who is at his disposal.

Who is not in tatters? Its Pammy and Raj. Though it mattered to both of them that Aliya accused Pragya about having something to do with Purab's disappearance. Raj remains conflicted and disinterested as ever like he was with Pragya thinking she was his children's kidnapper. And Pammy, she thinks Pragya has definitely a hand in having Purab flee from the marriage.

A scene that speaks of Aliya's accusation ringing loudly over Mehra Household that Pragya is responsible for Purab's fleeing.

Disgusting that both the sisters Bulbul and Pragya throw Puneet under the bus just so that the Abhi-Tanu relationship does not come out.

Three more slaps!! My virtual slaps to the entire Arora family which drags this MU drama. Repressive Drama!!!

Unbelievable that one can have Allah Waariyaan Eye Locks and Cosying up over a Cockroach.  Duh!!!

God!! the Allah Waariyaan song is losing its magic with these illogical and insipid Abhigya encounters and Eyelocks.

Abhi moments - Pragya scolds him for Tanu Charades right in front of her family. Aliya consoles him. So the women want him to stick to MU like Fevicol ki Majboot Jodi.

Face palm!!!

Episode 96 - August 26th 2014

Bulbul - can this girl ever let others speak. She is a duplicate copy of Abhi. If he does not let others speak, this girl too does not listen and think first. She does something only to regret. She is in LaLa Land thinking that everything wiill be alright of Aliya and Purab get married. And Pragya is about to say something, she breaks her in the middle reminding Pragya that she should keep quiet.

Pragya - How ridiculous it is of Pragya to allow Bulbul to have Purab married to Aliya, when she knows her marriage would not stand a chance? How is she even planning to make everything right?

Bulbul accident and Purab excitement and Hospital Drama - MU elements galore and yet Abhi indulges in comic relief rather than piecing it why Bulbul and Purab are spotted together and how did Bulbul meet with accident and how come the three are together. Abhi takes it all as Purab's love and affection for Pragya and her family, contrasting it with his neglect for Aliya.

Hospital Comic Drama - Abhigya and Purab-Bulbul - Talking Back Repartees and Hugging. Shows the relational status. No hard feelings. Enjoyable drama regardless of the characters.

Jewellery Shop Drama - Aliya, Tanu and Abhi Mangalsutra shopping. Bhagya does his charm. Makes Abhi remember his mangalsutra moments with Pragya in the gold shop earlier where he handed over the fallen chain back to her, and then he tied it around her neck too in marriage. He remembers Daadi's words that it becomes unbreakable fevicol ki jodi, he dismisses the idea saying "Chashmish & Me". Poor Tanu on the other hand has a fit of disappointment with the mangalsutra that she liked for herself being dropped by Abhi and it falls down all broken!!!

Mehra Mansion Drama - Dadi is excited and is giving orders to everyone to have the wedding preparations done. Abhi warns Pragya. "Look at her excited face full of joy. I live to see ecstatic like that. And if anything happens to take it away, I will not spare anyone."

Warning Much !!!! Whatever!!!

Enuf Already. Can we have the three Stooges, Abhi, Aliya and Tanu shown backstage?

:( have to wait for 200 episodes. Already going mad with posting this much. Why dont I just concentrate on my work. Wish I had never laid eyes on the IF article on KKB 360 degree promotion results in terms of TRP. Ever since...I just fell in love with all characters. All of them are so blended in. I love all the characters including the vamps.

At this point, I would also love to watch Akash and Rachna story. Comeone just for Abhigya's Bhagya, we need not have Rachna and Suresh neglected. Yeah we have seen Rachna all standing up for her self-esteem. But She DID make a point in her neighbourhood and now in college about being a single mother. What's wrong to get back to a reformed husband. Akash in present shape does not look bad at all. Everyday I keep a hope for Rachna story...it keeps taking time...But I keep my hope.

Anyways, promise viewers and readers, when it is an ugly twist with illogical ramp up, I will bid bye like I am habitual about. I just cannot take ugly twists. I need only one cycle of Climax and Anti-climax. After that I make peace with the show into not watching out with heart but watching it like junk.

200 episodes will be 10 months. Hmmm! I may have to just wait until 120th episode for the pristine developments. LOL

I am now actually looking forward to the drama that exposes Aliya's real face to Abhi.  The seed was planted by Tanu in Aug 19th; Episode 91; in Aliya's mind. As shown in the precap. Aliya is getting highly insecure. Now the point of Bhagya will be where Abhi will stick to marriage just to correct the wrong started by Aliya. This is what I feel about Puliya wedding. Tanu needed a reception and an accident to be get emotionally distant from Abhi. Seems Aliya too is going to have a Sangeet and an accident to get at some place lower in value than she has today in Abhi's eyes.

Point is I am more tempted to believe in Abhi's goodness; which is not just my assessment, but also as assessed by Pragya about him. She had said to him, Aap bahut galat kar rahen hain...sabse zyaada aapko hi dard hoga.  What made Pragya see it, I dont know. But if our soap heroine has seen it, I would rather believe it and think that our soap hero is going to develop inner eyes and see something not right heart-wise with Aliya. That does not mean that he is not gonna support Aliya. 

I guess he might become a wall between Aliya and Pragya and her family. Will he?!!!  Who knows, Aliya's insecurity will also be upon the fact that Purab caught her red handed and she would think, before Purab exposes her, "let me slander him". Don't know why I feel, Purab might be trapped into leaving the marriage by Aliya herself, just so that Aliya can avenge herself on Pragya.

Abhi's fault is the biggest of all. Far exceeding Aliya's or Tanu's.  That is why I feel, Abhi will need moral support and that shall be provided by Pragya. In Episode 91 on 19th August 2014, there was a foreboding already on that matter. Aliya and Pragya stupidly went for the dress drama. Aliya on some excuse made Pragya believe her and Pragya on some pretext went to accomplish the challenge of wearing the short dress. As expected, Daadi was angry, Pragya saved by Abhi and yet when everything is out, Daadi looks at him accusatorily and warns him of his hand in the matter. Abhi seriously thinks...So whoever is responsible, I am the one who is going to get punished.

Today, this looks funny and is comic relief. Tomorrow, this is not going to be funny anymore and we would all start looking for tragic relief for few laughs. Abhi not only blamed by elders, he himself is going to come hard on himself. In that situation, where he would isolate himself, when unasked; Pragya comes to support him (understanding his situation), their love is going to be strengthened.  Under  what circumstances, we do not know. If they are in love, they can go on being separated by circumstances for a while. What is the Bhagya's role here? we have to see.

Likewise, about how Abhi can hurt Pragya?

Episode 91 on 19th August 2014 was a very cute and enjoyable episode. Full of fun and laughter.

But the underscoring highlight was Abhi's playing with Pragya through arousing jealous feelings.

Hmmm!!! Since when this is becoming fun for him?  Happy that the teacher chashmish who always mocks or ridicules him for being brainless or his appearance or his singing style, has actually feelings for him??????

FB to Drunken Spree...Why would a drunk Abhi feel bad that Pragya was singling out his kisses to Tanu?  So he was not feeling bad for her saying it out, he was feeling for the fact that he cared for her feelings... thinking that Pragya might be feeling bad that he wont kiss her ever? Hmmm!!!

Presently Pragya trusts Abhi for his transparency and his consistent behavior. She cannot stand Tanu, in a rational sense that happy marriage semblance does not need a third wheel between spouses. But there is an irrational side of her that does not want Tanu anywhere near her husband. This side is a strong sense of personal dignity that Pragya has for herself. She did not accept Suresh when she found out he loves Bulbul. Broke the engagement. Now Bhagyavash, she is married to Abhi and is his wife. And as wife, she cannot see Tanu usurping her right. Like she said "Hisaab ki pakki hoon main".   Because, in her personal accounts, Abhi has given her every reason why he would like to torture her and she accepted it to save her mommy and sister. Very concerned but selfish reasons. But the balance she has is rescue for torture. Now the other side of her marriage, if there was no MU, she has a problem in the form of Tanu. And she has already started dealing with her 1) by negating her at face value as outsider 2) by showing disapproval of her presence to her husband where it matters to her, his family and her family.

So basically Pragya has reigned in her marriage.

She just needs to find love in the marriage. And sooner than later she is gonna find it from Abhi.

So what can hurt her is when 

1. Abhi goes back to Tanu for some lame reason
2. Abhi to demean her sense of dignity in some way. Probably doubt her love for him...
3. Abhi to lessen attention on her...cant say how it would even happen, but even one instance of neglect from Abhi is gonna hurt Pragya especially after they may have acked their love for each other.

All this is gonna happen, if they start communicating less and less, in a degree noticeable in contrast to present times communicating with each other.

Why was Abhi hitting Puneet? I mean Puneet didn't say anything vulgar or wrong sounding. He just said that Tannu's friend told me that Tannu was calling me to this room.

Thats the point.

To his green eyes, Tanu was dancing very closely with Puneet. And to his green eyes, a guy coming running after Tanu is all committing an outrageous act. Who is even kidding!! Possessive much just for what he thinks he is.  One truth of character played out there. His EGO gets HURT everytime SOMEONE NEGLECTS HIM or goes against his word. EGO what it was...spilling everywhere. He came back to Tanu into that room...because per his green eyes, Tanu was making him jealous and hence that sorry. I am least bothered with his making up with Tanu scene...because yesterday itself, I was not 100% sold on his anger on Tanu. That scene just put me into haze, then why he is playing around with Pragya.

Now all of this just points to one thing. He needs big time fan following. Pragya is giving him too much attention, hence his softness.  I made one post earlier...Abhi and his wont for Adulation. That is what it is.

All short tempered people don't go hitting around people. Short-temper is not a big character flaw. Short temperence becomes dangerous when mixed with brainless reaction.  Ofcourse this is a perfect contrast to the sane and brainy heroine...yet someone is bound to get hurt at some point.

What it also serves as dramatic infusion, is that pain needs to get added for the heroine for having to be sacrificial when she deserves really something better. So what they are also showing is that Bhagya has not at all been rosy, though she does not expect much and tries to adjust with the minimum she gets.

This is going in the direction of Elinor of Sense and Sensibility where Edward really does not much deserve Elinor truthfully. This is also going in the direction of Tamil Movie make of S&S adaptation Kandukondain Kandukondain. Tabu plays the role of Elinor. And there we have Ajit kumar as Edward, but he is so much more improved than Edward and would resemble Abhi as he dreams of becoming a Film director which he becomes.  KK was much more beautifully rendered. The way Tabu weeps towards the end, it becomes such a poetic justice. She earns her merit, her worth fighting tooth an nail in those tears, how someone she loved may have presumed her to be unlucky. Well its not the case, but she makes her point.  And this I am going to wish to see from Pragya, asking her mother, Abhi why they forced her into a marriage.  This is what Abhi drama today raises an expectation from Pragya today and hence that need for half of KKB crowd asking her to pack up her bags and leave.

Well Abhi has two nearly good yellings from Pragya. Its upto him again to open his brains. Add the drunken bit of confession, he should grow antennae. But who cares if he doesnt grow. We are not even bothered on that point.  We are bothered on him hitting people and his tremendous ego.

1) Pragya says "Yes I love Purab" - probably on reception night. Abhi counters her saying you are lying. You are not capable of loving anyone.

2) Pragya says "No I dont love Purab" when Purab and Aliya's marriage is fixed and they have argument when she asks him to have it cancelled. Abhi counters her saying, "yeah why would you love him".

Add the drunken bit. "You are wrong in understanding. ...I am not the girl that Purab loves". - well lets forget that as it was just something one can ignore or not ignore. Choice.

Basically Abhi has "apni moohn miyaan mithhu" syndrome. He loves what he says, thinks and feels. He expects a following of the same chain of thought. Abhi has terrible ego. Ego that a DoubleBattery types Suresh is talking sense. That Chashmish gives him her piece of mind. That Purab could dare to go against a commitment made to him. That Tanu refused him for marriage. That Tanu doubted him about his goodness&protective care. Each of his anger and bullying is about someone hurting his ego.  However, was that not exactly the reason why Daadi got him married to Pragya? She wanted him to be grounded. These ugly consequences of his ego need to get spilled for more drama to occur. But everytime it happens, he would need a reprimand.

Hence our reaction. As audience, we only put our hope in Pragya to get this righted.

Will Pragya do what we expect of her?

At this pace of her goodness, gullibility and being a sacrificial lamb in present mode that has caught the fancy of Arora sisters, I doubt it. The writers are making the soap heroine fall for the hero. To add a heart-break. God! if this is the route it will take, I will bid bye. I watch soaps to have fun. But I never take crap, especially from the protagonists. Yes. Ugh Ugh Ugh, when a Soap Heroine cannot defend her innocent Brother beaten up in such a morally disparaging manner. That leads us to assess why Pragya is all smiles in the new August 19th promo. Didn't she have a heartbreak with Suresh, why she believes people so easily?!!!!! I am seriously not watching unless one or other something redeeming happens. And this girl seriously needs to grow spine.

"She's way too trusting to any guy who pays her even the tiniest regard. That is one of her weaknesses, like ego is Abhi's. Perhaps one day we will understand why she has this issue but for now it's consistent to her character. Our only hope is Pragya grows a spine in time of the reveal/wedding. She's been foolish in many ways but she has been fairly good about standing up to Abhi and company within the confines of her own foolishness to carry on this time-limited charade. I felt the drama intense. It was a nice mix, like normally it happens over marriages. Those concerned are worried, those not much worried having fun, and some keeping an eye to control issues and sometimes joy just takes a fun ride to have an accident with angst, spilling tears. 

Felt like real life marriage participation, where 

1. Daadis, guests all laughing at Abhigya and having fun at their expense. 
2. Bulbul and Sarla worried for Mamaji's catering. They should be. 
3. Bulbul and Purab keeping an eye on Aaliya.
4. Purab's Chaachi keeping an eye on Purab and Bulbul.
5. Sarla keeping an eye on Abhi and Tanu
6. Daadi's blessing Abhi as usual for Abhigya as couple.

Between all this, the most stressed were everyone except Pragya. Other than an accidental kiss drama and having to handle Tanu's jealousy, nothing else was different for her. And unless like other events she was taking it normally...change being ...everyone else had some kind of emotional worry at the back of their mind.

So Abhi is really conflicted since the Police case rescuing by Pragya. He is not just unhappy that Pragya has so much attitude to refuse his Thank you, he is unhappy that Tanu was not with him. And he is actually angry with Tanu so much that he called her a Baaharwaali. Then why with so much going inside him, Abhi is still able to add light moments with Pragya. I guess, then I have to stamp it in my mind, that Abhi has a single track mind when it comes to his anger. He can be angry with only person at a time. He could not be angry with Purab or suspect of some scheming when he found him in restaurant and let it be. Likewise, he is going through Sangeet moments normally as goes with his besharam attitude, but he was truly angry with Tanu. He seemed hurt for a certain image of Tanu he had in his mind, dwindle into something he was disappointed at himself and their relationship.

The other important face change clue and serious enough for me to get bothered was, how lovingly he looked at his Daadi when she said to keep the Abhigya relationship go on as it is. I guess, he is baffled at Daasi calling Pragya a Savitri and that turned out true, then baffled at Daadi bringing out Pragya's characteristics that she fell for her initially and vouching her happiness, how she has not been belied. So he is like, "Do I believe Aliya and myself or do I believe Daasi and Daadi about what I have seen?"

More than the comedy of kisses, I felt disturbed at what was going on in their minds for Abhi, Tanu, Aaliya, Bulbul and Purab.  

Pragya totally unaware of all kind of conflicts and plotting, does not even care to think of them and very sweetly, is responsive through her logic and level headedness, answering aptly to all, be it Tanu or be it Abhi or be it her well-wishers.

What an episode, where Pragya has created drama around her where she remains poised along with Daadis and rest everyone are so worried about many many things. :)

What would make Abhi feel betrayed by Pragya? He has trust issues even now. So how is it even gonna change? I do believe, his anger would resurface, but at what and at whom, I am not so sure. His ego, yes. Ego at being proven wrong. However, the dramatic revelation is not going to be unravelling. It might just be made more tortuous and arduous.  Imp thing for me is, I am just clueless how Aliya and Abhi will react to Purab running away from marriage, how Daadi will react. 

Based on today's episode, Abhi is not all that dumb. He does remember people's words and feelings expressed. He is able to draw a certain conclusion over Tanu based on what he expected and what his Daadi looks for in his "wife". He is able to excite Pragya through her outrageous feelings for Tanu's unrighteous conduct of hanging out with a married man. He is able to know his own state that he gets cluelessly lost in Pragya's eyes and that he hears song from there.

Wont's he be able to relate that Pragya was actually asking him to question himself, that Purab turning away from wedding could be a possibility ? I believe, the next stage of conflict to be set in his mind, is between him and Aliya.  He would need to see Aliya like he is seeing Tanu now.  My guess (which most of the times are wrong anyways) is that, Abhi will get unhinged from Aliya love that only makes him blind.  But then he has to deal the societal consequences of a failed wedding. He would need to handle Aliya, his Daadi, his reputation. A lot is at stake. And HE would need some kind of moral support to deal with all this.  He does need to be supported by Pragya at this time.

The real emotional break will happen, when Abhi hurts Pragya emotionally (in an unintentional manner ofcourse), and the real physical separation will happen when Sarla gets to know the reality of the marriage.

I loved his panic at being caught when he told Tanu to let go. The writers have done a good job in enacting some subtle changes that signal his shift in attitude as he grows more confused.

Let me add my bit too, to continue. 

While watching the scene, I felt that Abhi was forced to hit reality, hit the ground. His marriage to Pragya is all a revenge lesson from his point of view where the trouble-maker and gold-digger Pragya was supposed to get tortured, humiliated and insulted all the time.

Alas!! the problem in having this wish executed gets encompassingly difficult for Abhi and it only adds to his conflicted emotions on what he is as person himself. This is completely devoid of what he feels or should feels for Pragya. This conflict is about his character and his emotions that are taking a toll on him.

His desire of having Pragya tortured, insulted rests on his wish that only and only Pragya should bear that punishment and no one else get affected even remotely by the hurt he intends to give Pragya. For him he and the world are one side and there is only adversary for him that deserves all bad and that is Pragya. Is it for REAL then that such isolation of actions and consequences can be achieved ? NO.

And that is what happened once again today. Today, it was not Pragya's mother or Abhi's grandmother, who were exposed to the consequences of their marriage. Today, the couple themselves were exposed, if they want to keep semblance of marriage or let it be. When Pragya saved Abhi from getting arrested, Pragya had the threat of Tanu's relationship with Abhi getting exposed which was going to affect both her family and Abhi's grandmother. But today, in no manner, the families were affected. However what was subjected to ridicule was Abhi's character. Is he really a  casting couch principle follower? 

I watched the scene and felt it, how Abhi felt disturbed by a disruption to supposedly fun, jovial atmosphere he was having with a person he is starting to enjoy. If that disruption did not vex him enough, the man was insulting not only to a woman, he was more insulting to Abhi as a person with a lewd idea of Abhi as a person. And that angered Abhi ! He was wrathful. He just wanted to get himself cleansed and he said...this is my wife...Well on surface it does have a respectful and protective gesture for Pragya, but it has also protected his personality. He proved to the man that he is not what he thinks of ...as a man of loose morals. And to show his funny side, he even goes ahead and says, he meets up with men as well.

What I saw in that scene, an echoing dramatic effect of "Yeh meri Biwi Hai"...an echoing hardhitting reality for Pragya and Abhi. While Pragya is grateful that atleast for semblance sake, Abhi said that, which is what she wants at all these times, in her present state of reality, for Abhi it was redemptive of himself by purging all the bad things he has been doing lately to Pragya and how each time it is coming to hit upon him. If he had kept quiet today, not only his ego would have been hurt for his image as perceived by others, he would have been more hurt at himself, forced to sit quiet, when all his inner self actually rebels against any such basal activity.

Now that anger unleashed, he cancels the ordered food and wants to walk out from there in the heat of the moment. And our Pragya, true to her nature of always showing sense and decorum, her grateful attitude to the moment, makes her express her Thank You. Ofcourse! this increases anger levels for Abhi and he gets to release his pent up frustration with her. In his anger and annoyance, he takes out the frustration at the hurt inflicted by Pragya in the morning. Why save him and why not accept his Thank You, because for all it matters to him, the gold-digger saved him for his and her family needs. When and where did the gold-digger get better sense than him to prevail in an otherwise advantageous situation? And if he could keep all that aside, and he wanted to convey his gratitude, why did she not accept it?  He uses the SAME WORDS to drive his point of how he was hurt by her words. If she called him Ravan in the morning, he goes to say I too don't consider you my wife. Truth. But a truth for both that is like a poison that inflicts a writhing pain. I am sure he knew exactly that she would see that he was not doing it for families.

And then follows a balm to his pain.

Pragya's "Phir bhi Thanks".

She is calm, not showing an inch of hurt at the truth he hurled at her, takes it as reality and yet is noble not to crib at the loss of her right, but is just grateful for a small cover of kindness, a shelter provided to her in her situation. And she was resolute enough to show her self-respect, her dignity and showed him that she will not demand for what is not hers, but if he did something good for her, she will definitely express her gratitude to him. She will not be shy of that.

That is where the episode ended. We are not sure of tomorrow, how the scene will continue. But today that ending scene was a balm to Abhi's hurt pride. Pragya rose above their relationship, their marriage and showed him equal respect as a person. And that is what Abhi needed in that moment at the restaurant when he was enjoying his evening with a person he was liking which got ruined by another person, he could only abhor. It was all worth it.  Something he wanted so much for himself since the morning.

I wonder if writers put so much depth into the dialogue writing. But I guess the story direction, the dialogue and the acting by the crew adds the right chemistry to the scene and such dramatic emotion becomes possible.

It was cute, funny and hilarious episode.

Next Morning was even better. Both not at all SHY as to how they were huddled together, all that mattered to them was... how annoyed they were to find each other in close proximity. Angry Abhi!! LOLLOL

And when Pragya so naturally deduces how they ended up there, Abhi just runs away from there. God! he just acts truant and bully with Pragya and yet it is Pragya who gets to lecture him, scold him for his silly acts and get him scolded further from Daadi too.  Though he tries to do all bad things to her, she ends up punishing him more.

Honestly, this episode was so good. Best because Daadi got to see them sleeping like that, so trustingly, as she always desires them to. Best because Pragya now very transparently showed Abhi, how much closer she has become to Daadi. She has actually expressed her anger at Abhi and complained about him to Daadi, right before him. This is them like being her kids and if Abhi has his brain working, should read something in there. But since Abhi works with only his heart, he already knows, he cannot fool Daadi if matter pertains to Pragya.

I am so pleased at the night after. I do miss the drunk couple and their crazy acts, but next morning, they actually fight like husband and wife...well they always fight like that, dunno how Pragya gets to be so naturally his wife...without shyness, scolding him etc. Its very clear she treats him more as a kid, but does she even realize how wifey she gets with him, total owning him as her husband?.. even if to protect him and his antics to keep semblance of marriage before Daadi and her family.  She is always racing ahead of him in her mind when he talks and his assumed rattling and prattle just annoys her stupefying her at his velocity of assumed understanding and allegations. She never gets fully angry with him, and just gets irritated with him. Teacher and Errant and Truant Student

I cannot tell, where they both are going with this, but they should see themselves like Daadi had seen them. They are totally into each other. More so because, their hearts recognize the other's innocence and they do think like each other, even if is to irritate each other or love their family members and also respect those who deserve respect.

Abhi was just himself, drunk or no drunk. But a Drunk Pragya was so cute. Her next morning avatar and her exhausted face at her husband's non-stop ranting was again to die for LOLLOL She cannot bear him. This one is so so different from the drunk one. And yet, how could Abhi act the same with both Pragyas in the same manner. He could lose himself to Serious Pragya with Allah Waariyas just as he cannot lose himself to Drunk Pragya with her Cute expressions with no Allah Waariyas...but just seeing an Innocent reminder of her. He acts all rough intentionally with serious Pragya, thinking she can handle him and he acts rough out of frustration with a drunk Pragya. The way these two people behave with each other in their senses and without senses, its like two people who have been married for years. 

Cut to Police coming scene, both husband and wife in their separate realms of thinking, very individualistic, and yet the body language is again like a couple handling the problem together. The wailing siren affects the wife first. The lie that the wife speaks of, is caught by husband. This is going to be a repeat of Police Station Hug drama they did before. But this again highlights, their telepathic understanding of each other. They have flashes of what the other thinks sometimes and sometimes, they just infer what other means without much prodding.  

The couple is behaving very spontaneously with each other. The script writing so far is admirable in the sense, we really do not know much whats going on between the two, that they seem so naturally settled in every way no matter how much dysfunctional their marriage is. Like her regular informing him, that she is going to sleep in balcony (without any sad-face) and his regular retort, "yeah I see it, getting habituated (without any sorry-face). Its weird with no hurt or nagging angst and yet what is noticeable is their acknowledgement to the other, if the other did mean to talk to him/her.

Whats clear to me from these drunk episodes is that it is very clearly etched in their minds that their marriage is temporary arrangement. Pragya cares for marriage only to the extent of keeping her mother happy and rest of it just bores her as it is acting for her. Abhi cares for Pragya (not marriage) only for her his Daadi and Pragya's familya while her company seems abnoxious to him because he is under the supreme influence of negative publicity of Pragya by Aliya and Tanu.

So Pragya cares for her marriage to Abhi and will protect him, take care of him and his loved ones as long as the marriage keeps her bound.

And Abhi cares for Pragya in a way he just cannot understand. He says Daadi Daadi and yet even though how unconnected he feels to Pragya, there is always something about Pragya and something in her eyes that make him take care of her even if he is being ridiculously mischievous with her. I feel he keeps pranking with her and harrasing her, just to remind himself that he needs to ditch her.

And honestly none of these acts about each other impress the other to fall in love actually. Which is so baffling for me to understand. For I just see a couple, where destiny or Bhagya keeps throwing them in each other's company more and more, no matter how contrived or ridiculous it gets and destiny or Bhagya has the last laugh by seeing its work about what a situation it has created. Because it sees the couple act like it wants them to. A husband taking care of his wife and a wife taking care of her husband without being shy, just being very natural as they are about themselves. They might not have had a sweet word between each other, they might not be married in true spirit, but one married in all honesty and other marrying in all dishonesty, whatever they do, they honour each others needs in their room and outside their room.

Another scene of theirs that was so loving for me to watch was...that scene where Pragya follows him with her umbrella covering Abhi, asking for details, even as she was the one who gave the hints of accident to Police. Abhi is not at all angry with Pragya and instead he shows a complaining admonishment at her neglect of having failed to notice his physical bruise in the accident. Lo! when did he even give her the right to prod into his matters. She was barging into his matters by her own enterprise. But when he feels she did not barge in enough, he complains like a typical husband. And Pragya, not annoyed, but so concerned for him runs after him, gets sad, Abhi just turns around and becomes soft and says..."what is it now? (reads her concern) and says I will take care of the problem". Now why would he even care to answer her concern and say I will take care. But he does. Again so to speak, both the wife and husband have acts very unnaturally...this time not for Daadi and not for Maa. They acted who they were. Eldest born, caretaking Family members by habit. They are used to running around their family members to get them out of trouble, show concern and be nice. And this what both did with their prodding, asking and answering to each other.

Their traits of care and responsibility is what binds them today in an otherwise non-existent marriage. And that drunken drama was also the same. Care and Responsibility reflected throughout, even to the extent of what action of theirs is going to make the other better...like Abhi getting drunk to match her drunkenness...as then he wont get exhausted and frustrated...and Abhi getting the moon because Pragya needs light. Anything for you, because you are my care.

I just dont know what I am even driving at...but these episodes through 4th August to 14th August just bring out the Kundli (horoscopic) compatibility rather than romantic compatibility..and which is like Zindagi rangeen aur suhaani hai...a rollercoaster ride, an enjoyable ride if you have an equal and trusting partner with you.

KumKum Bhagya : Abhi and his Wont to Adulation

He is a Rockstar. Has a huge fan-following across all generations of people. Old to Young.  He has got accustomed to admiration, adoration and adulation.  It has become his wont to see all these things everywhere around him. Even his close family adores him, if not showing admiration or adulation. People like Taiji and Mitali adulate him for their own selfish reasons.

And here begins his tryst with his Pragya. Someone who is least bothered to attend to him, forget admiring him for starters that he is so habituated to. Pragya ignores him without hurting his ego. Which is loveable. It does not breed any animosity between them. Pragya keeps her self-respect and self-interest alive through her inattentive persona to Abhi. But has she really been inattentive to him?

Today's drunk episode with Pragya taking up all bits and pieces of her husband's vanity and displaying it to the fullest and loudest may have been an angst and frustration release for Pragya, a hilarious episode for the viewers, but certainly it was not cute display for Abhi. He felt mocked, he felt snubbed by Pragya with his Rockstar persona dismissed as Funny. And this was not funny at all to Abhi.

I saw Abhi first looking for attention and admiration from Pragya in the Reception beginning scene when both get ready in their room. Abhi all dressed, notices Pragya dressing up. He wants her to react, say something, but Nope, Pragya does not even bother to look up and is fiddling with her getting ready. If that scene is disturbed with her attention to details of his collar and asking him to correct something and him again falsely assuming that she is admiring him, it is again corrected to the fact that he does register why she called him a cartoon. But then back on staircase, while he again for second time admires her get-up and change to the other saree, the tiny detail that she listened to him, heeded him, he in the same manner, wants her to look at him and show something that she likes his avatar. Nope Pragya does not even entertain him a bit.

Now in Mehndi ceremony, she again called his songs as without sur and Taal. And in her capacity she sang something which Abhi actually liked. Cut to drunkenness of Pragya and all that is pent up within her coming out, we now have Pragya ridiculing him what can hurt Abhi most. Pragya dismisses his face saying, its not worth commenting.

She ridicules his style and accessories, the earrings, the rings on his fingers, the wristbands, the lockets, the hair-style.

Finally she ridicules even his bread and butter earning occupation with mocking his work, the way he croons and the way he asks his fans to follow him.

Ofcourse all of this is very cute when a cutefaced Pragya says it. Even Abhi cannot get mad at her. Its obvious she is not his fan and hence cannot like him or understand his style. He can understand where she comes from. But keeping all that logic apart, we do see a bit of Abhi, with his heart not liking the fact that Pragya does not even think it worth to look at him. And this she is not even saying to him to spite him. It is coming out naturally in response to his tackling her. He himself is being responsible for her revelations on him of what she thinks of him. I feel bad for him that, once the reality comes out, its going to be a 360 degrees pain for him, for making a mocking of marriage for Pragya, because then it would dawn on him, that he gave enough reason for Pragya to ignore and be indifferent to him with resolution, when atleast in her subconscious she found him funny with his wierd style and uninteresting face, enough to mock him, to dismiss him.

Though it is wonderful to see an Abhi who dismisses Pragya for being a Chashmish and ordinary, and yet admiring her beautiful eyes so much so that he gets lost in adulating those eyes as mesmerisings and magical, provoked enough to call her hynotist,  admiring her occasional display or perkiness in witty comebacks, admiring her slender figure, admiring her singing skills, admiring her gorgeous look when she dresses up for the occassion, we can also feel the pain for him about his simultaneous need to denounce the next moment of his realization owing to his misunderstanding and also fired by her ignoring him completely. It has not become an overt display yet, but I am already guessing Abhi's hurt face when Pragya would not bother to acknowledge him more than is needed to keep the semblance of their relationship.

All this is just revealing Abhi's wont to adulation around him. 

He would need to come out of that shell to be really admired by Pragya. For a change, he needs to be a fan. She would not care for his occupational perks, not care for his style, not for his looks. But she would still take care of him for all his tiniest details just like she is doing today. But that day is not far off when she would fall for him when she sees not just admiration for her but a streak of madness about her from him. But what is going to make it endearing for her is the pain of separation from him, as she would have fallen in love with his company so much. There is no doubt both are going to support each other, but his return to her is what would make her believe in love again and how much she is capable of loving him. 

Haha! one could write all this just going by the comment we hear in today's episode..."Aapka chehra he toh...kuch bolne laayak hi nahin!!!" [Episode on 11th August 2014]

Though, I must say that Pragya's kind of going to get baffled at her own feelings once she discovers how much Abhi means to her. Her definition of love is very inadequate or rather too practical and boring to begin with. To not to see into each other, but to see in the same direction, with like-mindness is actually a lot of progression with sense, which gives an all round satisfaction of accomplishments along the journey, but it cannot be denied that seeing into each other and discovering ourselves being lost in there, is another kind of emotional excitement which would take of heart's longing. I cant wait for Pragya's definition of love to change and accommodate looking into each other's eyes too.  Because though she undermines the importance of it, Pragya likes that kind of falling in love.

KUMKUM BHAGYA - EPISODE 84 - AUGUST 8, 2014 - Unhinged Pragya

Excellent episode. We can always enjoy this. There is both comedy and pain in the situation. And both from Pragya's point of view. 

Her critical practical side comes out unhinged, recklessly and she starts lashing out truth at what is silly like the Ghosla hair-style from behind, like the short dress for Mehndi ceremony, like what she thinks of unnecessary presence of outsider Tanu, at the mess created by Aaliya for her selfish sake by getting two people wrongfully married, then speaking about her unhappiness with her mother, where she starts crying with emotion and finally the opening her heart to Daadi through her baby-faced expressions about all that wrong happened and how Abhi maintains pretensions. Her unhinged heart-out talks strike the right chord with viewers, her family and Daadi.

How Abhi feels all about this, we still are not aware. We only know that he wanted his misunderstood truth about Pragya should come out, whereas frustratingly, the real truth is coming out about how Pragya feels about this marriage and what she thinks of all of them, with the difference being when normal she takes their torture with fortitude, but when drunk, she is showing her fear and unhappiness about how everything is wrong.

Whether Abhi liked her this way or still remains frustrated, but when we see Pragya like this, without hope and totally unhinged from being responsible, our heart goes out to Pragya like Daadi and we also say to Abhi, "Bahut Masoom hai yeh...Very innocent she is and if anything untoward she did, forgive her as she has done it unintentionally."

What really surprised me was that, while Pragya had lot of complaints for Aaliya and Tanu, she had not much complaint about Abhi for him being responsible for her situation, she saw him only as her torturer and also as another victim of this unwanted marriage like her. Pragya's clarity surprised me. And what further surprised me was, though she was afraid of Abhishek later torturing her in their room, she could take Daadi's cajoling and Abhi's baby talk to convince her to come to their room. 

She really likes Abhi doing things for her the way she would love it to happen, like read her books, take care that her feet are not hurt, take care of her dupatta.  Somehow, between all that unhappiness, while she trusts and cares for Daadi most, it seems she also knows that after Daadi, it is Abhi who can be trusted and depended upon. Reason being his equal love to his family and Daadi foremost; just like hers what she has for her family. So she easily agrees to go with him and also feels extremely happy cosying upto him. 

I am sure Pragya does not know this yet, but she does like wierd husband's wierd habits. She likes her husband or rather Abhishek, for unhinging her which allows her to express freely, perhaps better than what her loved family of mother, sister and Beeji allow her to.
