KUMKUM BHAGYA - EPISODE 103&104 - SEPTEMBER 4 & 5, 2014 - The Original Sin

Drama Drama Drama ...The Apple Cart is Toppled

Like I said in my EP 102 review....

Tatter 3 Purab - He is clearheaded but tad too late. Marriage is not what you should have on your mind right now. Yet, he is the one, who is most clearheaded now. He is the one who wants to get married to Bulbul and end the farce right now. How beautiful !  And yet, he is the one who is going to get brickbats for speaking sanity. And dramatic farce of pain and misunderstanding would be dragged in self-centered emotions of rest of the people by refusing to do what he thinks should be done. In the end game, Purab is clearheaded but tad too bold and clear and unfit for the universe he is residing in. He tends to lose big, now that there is a queue of antagonists rallying behind him in the form of Aliya, Sarla and Daadi.

Purab in EP 103 & 104 shines the most. Everyone is expectedly against him. Bulbul, Pragya and Abhi

Bulbul thinking about her sister, Pragya thinking of her mother; lecturing and asking Purab to marry Aliya. While Purab makes his point lucidly, including him saying he has thought in a selfish manner, he makes it clear that he doesn't see anything to gain by marrying Aliya; when the very purpose of his marriage with Aliya is defeated. He was liberated of the ridiculous predicament he was being forced into by Bulbul in the name of love. But then Bulbul and Pragya who still imprisoned in their selfish reasoning behind the sticking on to the farcical clinging on to marriage with Abhi, keep pricking him that he has toppled their Apple Cart.

Abhi does not listen to him either and expectedly Abhi beats up Purab for having jilted his sister.

The Apple Cart Toppling Confrontation Drama goes on and we get small respites with Aliya placating down on Purab jilting her. One of her fixation is gone. Abhi and Aliya knowing the truth that Purab loves Bulbul and not Pragya. And Purab knowing that Abhi in anger is not going to listen to any logic, once again runs away from the Temple -LoversPoint place and this time, he forces Bulbul to come away with him.

New Drama develops causing confusion to us. Abhi's purpose to remain married to Pragya has ended regardless of Aliya being married to Purab or not. Yet he brought her home. I cannot understand why he brought her home. [Confused]

Things I enjoyed most

EP 103
Pragya to Purab [loudly]: Uska Haat Chod do !!! [RFOL] I started laughing hilariously.

EP 104
Abhi runs after Purab to catch him, but fails because Purab has driven away. [RFOL] Hilarious and so satisfying. Finally things happening to Abhi where he gets only defeat in his hands. Defeated Abhi. No matter how much he tries to prove himself as self-righteous, he ends only looking more ridiculous and criminal.
Pragya taunting all three accomplices; if the three plotters cannot be called cheaters for deceptively marrying someone to teach a lesson and trying to attain love forcefully by making forceful marriage. [So Satisfied]

Alas! The Self-Righteous Abhi declares to Pragya that it was wrong of an Engaged Purab to fall in love with Bulbul, that it was wrong of Bulbul to love a man who was supposed to marry his sister. He is stuck on the Original Sin and he thinks he has every right to punish the three who sinned.

Purab's Action of Running away from Marriage with Aliya and Trying to get married to Bulbul - Can we blame him?

Can we really blame Purab's Action of Running away from Marriage?
Can we really blame Purab forcing Bulbul to get married to him?

Purab was not wrong in running away from the wedding. When coerced under extraordinary circumstances, it takes a thing like wedding, the ultimate reality that makes matters lucid. And for him, whatever the world, the sisters were leading him to, the false pretense that Pragya's marriage will survive, that purpose itself has come crashing down. So how is he even wrong ? No one can say that this is not the time you should run away. It can happen to anyone of us. Getting not married is not end of life. Infact not committed to marriage after marrying is actually legally a contract breached.

The plan to marry BB is not ridiculous because, logically, that is the only way Purab is going to keep Bulbul protected from Aliya and Abhi. She technically and rightfully belongs to him and he can claim his right to take care of her. This also closes the options of someone else asking him to reconsider marrying Aliya. Basically he wants to bind humself to the cause for which he had initially rejected Aliya. He is not being selfish, but at this time doing the last SOS act. Though agree, the writing of dialogues is bent to make it look ridiculous. But I would still go and stand besides his Chaachi, who was all along giving Purab and Bulbul the right advice. And that tete-a-tete with his Chaachi and himself in the car, tells us that Puran suddenly has become the most lucid person on the horizon. End of the day, Purab is into this dirty business of agreeing to marry Aliya only for Bulbul's sake. He listened to her before and when her plan fell apart, he is taking the decision now. If he marries Bulbul, then consequences are straightforward and can be dealt with...with none of the fooling around games that the Arora sisters and Mehra Crazies are indulging in.

Not marrying a mate whom you love is not as unfortunate as having to marry someone you do not love. Purab not being able to marry Bulbul is lesser evil out of having to marry someone whom you do not love even a little.

Purab running away or refusing from Aliya situation, I would always have supported him, like his Chaachi. Marriage is a big decision  and not Guddon Gudiyon ka khel like all those bimbettes (Aliya, Tanu and Bulbul) are engaged in.

Pragya too refused Suresh. So why blame Purab if he is looking for love. Pragya too obliged like Abhi and Purab. So why blame Abhi and Purab, if they are marrying only for people they love. Abhi wanted to dump Pragya so how is it wrong of Purab if he actually dumped Aliya.

Daadi saying I am disappointed with Purab for dumping Aliya twice and I will not forgive him or anyone else who aided it, is like old school cane approach. Ever bothered to ask, why Aliya, why do you want to marry him if he does not love you. Does he actually love you? Did you even bother to check? The same logic applies to Abhi.

Life is not always about commitment. Life is about taking compassionate approach to every relation and matter you deal with. If you cannot give your 100% of your heart it is not being compassionate, so how can you say you can fulfil your commitment. Commitment starts with Compassion. Its so clear that Purab feels no bonding with Aliya. This is matter of heart of loving someone bodily and soulfully. We are not talking about humanitarian love.

Abhi does not like Pragya type of girls. And he cannot be compassionate or committed to her. But there is a certain attraction he feels for Pragya. Tomorrow he leaves her, he wont regret that. But if he decides to stick with his marriage, he is not going to lose anything either. There is enough room for him to play along with each other unlike Purab who literally feels stifled in Aliya's presence.

===================================================

Sarla is definitely not going to take it well that yet once again Bulbul managed to ruin/endanger Pragya's wedding by somehow being pivotal to Pragya's existential state of marriage.  That was bound to happen anyways. Bulbul already feels the burden about it under her mother's oppressive alienation of her. I understand a mother's sad situation and her need to do justice to both of her daughters, but she is fighting her fate. If Bulbul remains a problem for Pragya, let it be, let it get played until fate is worn out and then her daughters will find grooms who really deserve them. Sarla need not push her daughters down the drain just to have her Kumkum Bhagya dreams fulfilled.

Whether the Plot Clunk weaves plays this matter out loud and clear, we have to wait and watch.

But definitely none of the two daughters had been having a kind life ever since Pragya's match-making sessions have been going on. Its a common problem, one sibling gets preferred over the other. All one has to do it let it get played while we keep patience and fortitude to do good for our daughters. Not force them into unwanted marriages through emotional blackmail.

Kumkum Bhagya is really the culprit for Aroras and MU Bhagya is the culprit for Mehras. The Mehras live under royal illusion. All of them.
